Export Morpher Wallet

These instructions are only for Morpher Wallet. Please visit Metamask and Fortmatic support to export those wallets.

What is a seed phrase?

A seed phrase is a collection of 12 words that are generated when your crypto wallet is created. These random dictionary words, in their exact order, act as a key that gives you complete control over your wallet. Seed phrases can be used to generate multiple unique addresses on Ethereum. You can manage a large number of Ethereum addresses from one wallet if you have your seed phrase. Learn more about seed phrases.

What is a private key?

A private key acts as the password to a single Ethereum address. A combination of a private key and a public Ethereum address is all that's needed to interact with the blockchain. Your private key is used to sign and send transactions from your Ethereum address. Anyone can see your Ethereum address, but only you know your private key. Learn more about private keys.

How to Export Morpher Wallet

Export Seed Phrase

We recommend exporting your seed phrase rather than private key, since it enables you to generate new Ethereum addresses.
Go to Settings
Go to Export Wallet
Click Export Seed Phrase and enter your password.
Write down your seedphrase somewhere safe, or copy to clipboard and save inside a password manager.

Export Private Key

Go to Settings
Go to Export Wallet
Click Export Private Key and enter your password.
Save your private key to your clipboard or download the key as a JSON file.

The JSON file private key is password protected with the same password as your wallet account.
